Apple TV officially launched in India for Rs. 7,900
All the rumors about Apple’s launch going around has made this come as a surprise to people. Apple smoothly launches the Apple TV in India almost a year after it’s launch in US. Apple TV is available on Apple’s official site at a price of Rs 7,900 under the iPod section.
For those who haven’t heard much about Apple TV, it is basically a media streamer which lets you stream an share content across Apple products and is connected to your TV hence Apple TV. The content can be streamed over wired or wireless connections across Apple Products like iTunes or even iCloud. Apple TV has LAN port for wired connection along with HDMI port and an optical output audio port. Besides audio and video Apple TV also streams photos and games which can be controlled by an app from your iPhone or iPad remotely.
Apple TV can also be used to purchase multimedia stuff from iTunes store since iTunes store is now functional in India as well. Apple TV also allows you access to a very limited content outside iTunes Store which won’t impress atleast the Indian audience. Talks are on that Apple is in talk with Indian partners to provide some country specific content to the Indian audience.
